But First ‘Indie’ Bookshops

Brendon Books Annual Literary Festival 2026

Photos of quaint or not so quaint bookshops that I’ve frequented on my travels. I may not know where they all are.

Actually I do know. The first is in Taunton then, Bath, Frome, Dartmouth.

The last two photos are cheating a bit. But I found a nice area to read in a coffee shop in Paignton. And a bookshelf in what was Agatha Christie’s home, Greenway House. It was her estate on the River Dart near Galmpton in Devon, England
